Medical overuse, patient empowerment, and social determinants of health are critical issues in health care, but rarely discussed in medical school. The RCA Healthcare Education Council strives to fix these gaps in medical education by promoting knowledge, discourse, and scholarship on right care, and providing a space for medical trainees and faculty to collaborate on solutions and organize for change.
Recent council actions include:
- Collaborating with In-Training on a series of trainee-led roundtable discussions
- Creating a virtual library of resources for trainees on undervalued health care topics
- Creating a list of top do’s and don’ts for right care in medical education
