Opening Our Schools: When and How? During the COVID-19 Pandemic Part 2

Because there were so many important questions that we didn’t have time to answer during our first meeting, RCA Gainesville held a follow-up meeting on opening schools. Our Town Hall Meeting on Wednesday, July 29th from 5-6 PM again discussed Open Our Schools: When and How? Part II

We were thrilled to have recruited an expert panel to field questions and to share their knowledge:

Pediatric Infectious Diseases Specialist Dr. Kathleen Ryan

Former CDC officer and Professor of Pediatrics Dr. Sonja Rasmussen

Superintendent of Alachua County Schools Karen Clarke.

Adult Infectious Disease Specialist Dr. Fred Southwick

After a brief introduction, this panel of experts fielded questions.

The viewpoints of parents, students, teachers, administrators, and medical experts were aired with the goal of providing a deeper understanding of how to most effectively open our schools.
